PPG at IDTechEx 2019

PPG highlights mobility and electronic materials solutions at IDTechEx 2019

At the recent IDTechEx Show!, held in California, PPG not only exhibited its full range of coatings and technology solutions for mobility and aerospace applications, as well as electronic, conductive and specialty materials, it also presented two intriguing scientific papers – ‘High-Tech Coatings Solutions to Enable Electric and Autonomous Vehicles’ and ‘Customising Graphene Dispersions: A Key Step in Realising Graphene Potential’.

PPG also showcased a variety of products and technologies, including its full array of mobility coatings for the autonomous, connected, electrified and shared (ACES) vehicle ecosystem. Featured innovations included coatings for battery cells and battery pack assemblies and advanced coatings that enable autonomous vehicles and infrastructure to communicate more efficiently. Further displays also highlighted PPG’s role as a conductive coatings supplier to many of the world’s most recognized consumer electronic, medical device and aerospace companies. Typical applications for these coatings include desktop and laptop computers, mobile phones, entertainment and gaming systems, wireless modem systems, medical devices, and aircraft frame and rotor blade systems.

The IDTechEx Show! is hosted twice a year – in Berlin, Germany and California, USA. It covers a number of high-growth emerging technologies, providing insight on the applications and latest technical and market progress of each.
